THE WESTERN HEALTH BOARD (DISTRICT MENTAL HOSPITALS), ORDER, 1975.

The Minister for Health for the purposes of Sections 162 , 165 , 166 and 184 of the Mental Treatment Act, 1945 (No. 19 of 1945) as adapted by the Mental Treatment Acts (Adaptation) Order, 1971 ( S.I. No. 108 of 1971 ), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Western Health Board (District Mental Hospitals) Order, 1975.

2. (1) The district mental hospital to serve the area comprising the dispensary districts specified in Part One of the Schedule to this Order shall be the hospital at Castlerea known as Saint Patrick's Hospital.

(2) The district mental hospital to serve the area comprising the dispensary districts specified in Part Two of the Schedule to this Order shall be the hospital at Ballinasloe known as Saint Brigid's Hospital.

SCHEDULE.

PART ONE.

Dispensary districts comprising the area to be served by the district mental hospital at Castlerea:—

Aughrim, Athleague, Boyle, Ballaghadereen, Ballinameen, Ballinlough, Ballyleague, Castlerea, Elphin, Frenchpark, Keadew, Loughglinn, Roosky, Strokestown, Roscommon, Williamstown.

PART TWO.

Dispensary districts comprising the area to be served by the district mental hospital at Ballinasloe:—

Abbey, Ahascragh, Ardrahan, Aran Islands, Athenry, Ballinasloe, Ballygar, Bullaun, Carna, Clifden, Cloonbur No. 1 and Cloonbur No. 2, Dunmore, Eyrecourt, Galway No. 1, Galway No. 2, Glenamaddy, Gort, Headford, Inishbofin, Kilconnell, Kiltormer, Kinvara, Laurencetown, Lettermore No. 1, Lettermore No. 2, Loughrea, Mount Bellew, Moycullen, Oranmore, Oughterard, Portumna, Rinvyle, Roundstone, Spiddle, Tuam No. 1, Tuam No. 2, Turloughmore, Woodford, Athlone No. 2, Brideswell, Creagh, Kiltoom.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of the Order is to effect a minor change in the areas served by St. Patrick's Hospital Castlerea and St. Brigid's Hospital, Ballinsloe.
