MAXIMUM PRICES (PETROL) ORDER, 1975.

I, JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Petrol) Order, 1975.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of January, 1975.

3. The maximum price at which petrol, of a brand or brand and grade mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule to this Order at a particular reference, shall be sold by retail shall be the price mentioned in column (3) of that Schedule at that refeernce.

4. The Maximum Prices (Petrol) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 109 of 1974 ), and the Maximum Prices (Petrol) (No. 2) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 351 of 1974 ), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the maximum price, inclusive of Value Added Tax, at which petrol of the grades set out in the Schedule to the Order, may be sold by retail.
