FINANCE ACT, 1974 (SECTION 85) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1974.

I, RICHIE RYAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 85 of the Finance Act, 1974 (No. 27 of 1974), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act, 1974 (Section 85) (Commencement) Order, 1974.

2. The 23rd day of October, 1974, is hereby appointed as the day on which section 85 of the Finance Act, 1974 (No. 27 of 1974), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 23 October, 1974, as the date for the coming into operation of section 85 of the Finance Act, 1974 , which provides for amendments of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1927 . These amendments arise out of changes in the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann taking effect on the date mentioned.
