ROAD TRANSPORT (INTERNATIONAL ROAD HAULAGE) ORDER, 1974.

I, PETER BARRY, T.D., Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 8 (2) of the Road Transport Act, 1971 (No. 8 of 1971), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Transport (International Road Haulage) Order, 1974.

2. A licence issued by the competent authority of another State in pursuance of the agreement made by the European Conference of Ministers of Transport on 4th day of December, 1973 (which provides for a multilateral quota of Licences, to be known as E.C.M.T. Licences, for international transport of goods by road) shall be deemed to be a restricted road freight licence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Instrument is to provide that E.C.M.T. Multilateral Licences shall be deemed to be restricted road freight licences for the purposes of Section 8 of the Road Transport Act, 1971 .
