MAXIMUM PRICES (INTOXICATING LIQUOR) (No. 6) ORDER, 1973.

I, JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 6) Order, 1973.

2. This Order shall not apply to intoxicating Liquor sold in premises registered under the Tourist Traffic Acts, 1939 to 1970.

3. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the First Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the county borough of Waterford in the county of Waterford in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

4. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Second Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the borough of Galway in the county of Galway in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

5. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Third Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the urban district of Wicklow in the county of Wicklow in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

6. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Fourth Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the urban district of Dungarvan in the county of Waterford in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

7. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Fifth Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the borough of Kilkenny in the county of Kilkenny in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

8. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Sixth Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the urban district of Nenagh in the county of Tipperary in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

9. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Seventh Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the urban district of Tipperary in the County of Tipperary in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

10. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Eighth Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the urban district of Ennis in the county of Clare in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

11. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Ninth Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the urban district of Athlone in the county of Westmeath in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

12. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Tenth Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the town of Athenry in the county of Galway in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

13. The maximum price at which intoxicating liquor mentioned in column (2) of the Eleventh Schedule to this Order at any reference number may be sold in the area comprising the town of Mohill in the county of Leitrim in the manner specified in column (3) of that Schedule at any reference number is hereby fixed at the price mentioned in the said column (3) at that reference number.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the Maximum prices at which certain types of intoxicating liquor may be sold in licensed premises in the County Borough of Waterford, the Boroughs of Galway and Kilkenny, the Urban Districts of Wicklow, Dungarvan, Nenagh, Tipperary, Ennis, and Athlone and the towns of Athenry and Mohill. The Order does not apply to premises registered under the Tourist Traffic Acts 1939 to 1972.
