NOXIOUS WEEDS (WILD OAT) ORDER 1973.

I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1936 (No. 38 of 1936), and being satisfied as required by subsection (1) of that section, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Noxious Weeds (Wild Oat) Order, 1973.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 27th day of July, 1973.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The plant specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be a noxious weed in the area specified in Part II of that Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

Wild Oat (Avena fatua).

PART II.

The area comprising the whole of the State.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order declares the Wild Oat (Avena fatua) to be a noxious weed for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1936 .
