HARBOUR RATES (DUNDALK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1972.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1972.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 11th day of October, 1972.

3. Section 47 of the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 (No. 3 (Private) of 1925), is hereby amended by the substitution for "five pence" of "six new pence".

4. The maximum rates to be charged on goods by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall be the rates (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 160 of 1967 )) specified in Schedule "A" of the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 , increased by 50 per cent.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners to increase goods and quayage rates.
