RIVER ERNE (SPECIAL LOCAL LICENCE DUTY) (METHOD OF PAYMENT) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1972.

I, JOHN FAHEY, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 77 (3) of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 83 of 1965 ) (as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ))and the Fisheries (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 123 of 1970 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the River Erne (Special Local Licence Duty) (Method of Payment) (Amendment) Order, 1972.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 6th day of August 1972.

2. The River Erne (Special Local Licence Duty) (Method of Payment) Order, 1938 ( S. R. & O. No. 15 of 1938 ) shall not have effect in relation to the licence duty to be paid under Article 4 of the River Erne (Special Local Licences) Order, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 178 of 1934 ) (inserted therein by Article 2 of the River Erne (Special Local Licences) (Amendment) Order, 1972 ( S.I. No. 193 of 1972 )), in respect of any special local licence to use a draft net in the tidal waters of the River Erne.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order suspends the operation of the Order of 1938, which enabled payment of special local licence duty to be made by instalments. The effect is that so long as the amendment Order remains in force the full amount of licence duty is payable on application for a special local licence in respect of the tidal waters of the River Erne.
