HARBOUR RATES (CORK PORT AND HARBOUR) ORDER, 1972.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) Order, 1972.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 18th day of July, 1972.

2. In this Order " the Principal Order " means the Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 192 of 1970 ).

3. The Principal Order shall have effect as if—

(i) the rates (other than the rate inserted by Article 4 of this Order) set out in the Schedule were increased by six per cent., and

(ii) in Part I of the Schedule " PER METRIC TON " were substituted for " PER TON ".

4. Part I of the Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by the insertion of the following matter after—

" Chemical Materials & Products N.E.S.

7/- / 3/6"

that is to say :

" Acid shipped in vessels built or converted to carry acid in bulk

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order authorises the Cork Harbour Commissioners to increase goods and tonnage rates.
