INDUSTRIAL TRAINING (TEXTILES COMMITTEE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1972.

An Chomhairle Oiliúna, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 24 of the Industrial Training Act, 1967 (No. 5 of 1967), hereby makes the following order:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Training (Textiles Committee) (Amendment) Order, 1972.

2. In this Order "the Order of 1969" means the Industrial Training (Textiles Committee) Order, 1969.

3. The Order of 1969 and this Order may be cited together as the Industrial Training (Textiles Committee) Orders, 1969 and 1972.

4. Paragraph 3 of the Order of 1969 is hereby amended by the substitution of "twenty-two ordinary members" for "twenty ordinary members."

5. The following paragraph is hereby substituted for paragraph 5 of the Order of 1969:

"The ordinary members of the Committee shall include ten workers' members, ten employers' members, one educational member and one other ordinary member."

6. Paragraph 6 (b) of the Order of 1969 is hereby amended by the substitution of "ten persons" for "nine persons".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

An Chomhairle Oiliúna (The Industrial Training Authority) was established under the Industrial Training Act, 1967 , to promote training in industry and commerce.

The Industrial Training (Textiles Committee) Order, 1969 ( S.I. No. 171 of 1969 ) established an industrial training committee, to be known as the Textiles Industry Training Committee, to advise and assist An Chomhairle as respects the performance of its functions.

This Order amends the Industrial Training (Textiles Committee) Order, 1969, by increasing the number of committee members to twenty-two ordinary members.
