PORTLAND CEMENT (STANDARD OF QUALITY) ORDER, 1971.

I, PATRICK J. LALOR, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 9 of the Cement Act, 1933 (No. 17 of 1933), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Portland Cement (Standard of Quality) Order, 1971.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

3. The standard to which Portland cement manufactured by holders of cement manufacture licences is to conform shall be Irish Standard 1: 1963 declared by the Standard Specification (Portland Cement) Declaration, 1963 as amended by the Standard Specification (Portland Cement) Declaration 1963 (Amendment) 1971.

4. The Portland Cement (Standard of Quality) Order 1952 ( S.I. No. 165 of 1953 ), is hereby revoked.
