CENTRAL MENTAL HOSPITAL ORDER, 1971.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 44 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Central Mental Hospital Order, 1971.

2. In this Order—

"the Minister" means the Minister for Health;

"the Board" means the Eastern Health Board;

"the Hospital" means the Central Mental Hospital.

3. This Order shall come into operation on 1st September, 1971.

4. On the coming into operation of this Order, the administration of the Hospital shall be transferred to the Board.

5. The expenses of the administration and maintenance of the Hospital shall be paid to the Board by the Minister out of the moneys provided by the Oireachtas for that purpose.

6. The Board shall keep such accounts in relation to the Hospital as the Minister, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, may direct.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to transfer, as from 1st September, 1971, the administration of the Central Mental Hospital to the Eastern Health Board. The expenses of administration will, as heretofore, be paid out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas.
