GREYHOUND RACE TRACK (TOTALISATOR) (PERCENTAGE) REGULATIONS, 1971.

Bord na gCon, in excercise of the powers conferred on it by subsection (2) of Section 40 of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (No. 12 of 1958), and with the consent of the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say:—

1. The Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator) (Percentage) Regulations, 1964 (No. 132 of 1964), are hereby revoked.

2. The sums and levies to be collected by the Board for the time being out of moneys staked by means of totalisators maintained by the Board shall be twelve and a half per cent. of the net total of the moneys so staked after deduction of sums so staked which are repayable by the Board together with any undistributed fractions of one new penny remaining after the declaration of totalisator dividends in accordance with totalisator operating regulations made by the Board and for the time being in force.

3. These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator) (Percentage) Regulations, 1971.

4. These regulations shall come into operation on the 22nd day of February, 1971.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these regulations is to fix the amount which the Board may retain out of moneys staked on totalisators operated by the Board at twelve and a half per cent.
