REDUNDANCY CONTRIBUTIONS (VARIATION OF RATES) ORDER, 1971.

I, JOSEPH BRENNAN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 28 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), hereby make the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Redundancy Contributions (Variation of Rates) Order, 1971.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of February, 1971.

3. The Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), shall have effect as if in section 28, which relates to weekly contributions to the Redundancy Fund—

(a) "three new pence" and "three new pence" were substituted for "eight pence" and "sixpence", respectively, in subsection (1), and

(b) "two new pence" and "one new penny" were substituted for "fourpence" and "threepence", respectively, in subsection (2).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for the conversion of the rates of the weekly contributions to the Redundancy Fund to decimalised rates from 15th February, 1971.
