FOREIGN PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (NO. 7) WARRANT 1971.

I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 , 3 and 6 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 7) Warrant, 1971.

(2) This Warrant shall come into operation on the 15th day of February, 1971.

2. In this Warrant " the Principal Warrant " means the Foreign Parcel Post Warrant, 1953 ( S.I. No. 418 of 1953 ).

3. The Second Schedule to the principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 4 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 6) Warrant, 1968 ( S.I. No. 264 of 1968 )) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Warrant.

4. The Third Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 5 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 6) Warrant, 1968) of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Warrant.

5. The Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 6 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 6) Warrant, 1968) of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Warrant.

6. The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution to the entries therein of the entries in the Fourth Schedule to this Warrant.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Warrant applies to the Foreign Parcel Post service and comes into operation on the 15th February, 1971. It authorises the decimal currency equivalents of the maximum rates of postage for parcels and of the fees for insurance, express and customs clearance services and other miscellaneous services.
