WHEAT LEVY ORDER, 1970.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 24 of 1958), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), and after consultation with An Bord Gráin hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Wheat Levy Order, 1970.

2. The rate of wheat levy in relation to wheat harvested in the year 1970 shall be—

( a ) 7s. 6d. per barrel of 20 stones in the case of levy deducted from the price of the wheat before the 15th day of February, 1971, and

( b ) 37½ new pence per barrel of 20 stones in the case of levy deducted from the price of the wheat on or after the 15th day of February, 1971.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order fixes the rate of levy payable on millable wheat of the 1970 harvest.
