TELEGRAPH (INLAND WRITTEN TELEGRAM) AMENDMENT (No. 11) WARRANT, 1970.

I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Telegraph Act, 1885, and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the regulations contained in the following Warrant:

1. (1) This Warrant may be cited as the Telegraph (Inland Written Telegram) Amendment (No. 11) Warrant, 1970.

(2) This Warrant shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1970.

2. In this Warrant—

"the 1955 Warrant" means the Telegraph (Inland Written Telegram) Amendment (No. 6) Warrant, 1955 ( S.I. No. 144 of 1955 );

"the 1968 Warrant" means the Telegraph (Inland Written Telegram) Amendment (No. 10) Warrant, 1968 ( S.I. No. 277 of 1968 ).

3. In Regulation 32 (2) of the Telegraph (Inland Written Telegram) Regulations 1920, as amended by Regulation 13 of the 1955 Warrant, for the references to "6s. 0d." and "7s. 0d." (inserted by Regulation 3 of the 1968 Warrant) there are hereby substituted references to ''8s. 0d." and "9s. 0d." respectively.

4. In Regulation 6 of the Telegraph (Inland Written Telegram) Amendment (No. 1) Warrant, 1928 (S.R. & O., No. 45 of 1928), as amended by Regulation 4 of the 1968 Warrant for "11s. 0d." and "16s. 0d." there are hereby substituted "14s. 8d." and "19s. 8d." respectively.

5. The 1955 Warrant shall be amended as follows:

( a ) in Regulation 4 (a) for "6s. 0d." (inserted by Regulation 5 (a) of the 1968 Warrant) there is hereby substituted "8s. 0d.";

( b ) in Regulation 4 (b) for "6s. 0d." and "6d." (both inserted by Regulation 5 (b) of the 1968 Warrant) there are hereby substituted "8s. Od." and "8d." respectively;

( c ) in Regulation 5 (a) for "7s. 0d." (inserted by Regulation 5 (c) of the 1968 Warrant) there is hereby substituted "9s. 0d.";

( d ) in Regulation 5 (b) for "7s. 0d." and "6d." (both inserted by Regulation 5 (d) of the 1968 Warrant) there are hereby substituted "9s. Od." and "9d." respectively;

( e ) in Regulation 7 (1) (a) for "6s. 0d." (inserted by Regulation 5 (e) of the 1968 Warrant) there is hereby substituted "8s. 0d.";

( f ) in Regulation 7 (1) (b) for "7s. 0d." (inserted by Regulation 5 (f) of the 1968 Warrant) there is hereby substituted "9s. 0d.";

( g ) in Regulation 10 (a) for "6s. 0d." and "16s. 0d." (both inserted by Regulation 5 (g) of the 1968 Warrant) .there are hereby substituted "8s. 0d." and "16s. 0d" respectively;

( h ) in Regulation 10 (b) for "7s. 0d." and "16s. 0d." (both inserted by Regulation 5 (h) of the 1968 Warrant) there are hereby substituted "9s. 0d." and "16s. 0d." respectively; and

( i) in Regulation 16 for "6s. 0d." in both places where that amount is mentioned (having been inserted by Regulation 5 (i) of the 1968 Warrant) there is hereby substituted "8s. 0d."
