HOME-GROWN WHEAT (NATIONAL PERCENTAGE FOR CEREAL YEAR 1969-70) (VARIATION) ORDER, 1970.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 (1) of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1935 (No. 26 of 1935), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), and by the Wheat Milling (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 217 of 1968 ), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Home-Grown Wheat (National Percentage for Cereal Year 1969-70) (Variation) Order, 1970.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Article 3 of the Home-Grown Wheat (National Percentage for Cereal Year 1969-70) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 259 of 1968 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of "sixty per cent." for "seventy-five per cent".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Order requires licensed millers to mill 60 per cent. (instead of 75 per cent, as originally prescribed) of their milling quotas in the form of home-grown wheat during the cereal year commencing on 1st September, 1969.
