CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA NO. 54) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1969.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 54) (Revocation) Order, 1969.

2. This Order comes into operation on the 1st day of January, 1970.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

4. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 54) (Pneumatic Tyres) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 134 of 1967 ), which prohibited, subject to certain exceptions and qualifications, the importation into the State of certain types of pneumatic tyres, is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This instrument removes, as from 1st January, 1970, the prohibition on the importation of motor tyres of United Kingdom manufacture.
