EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1969 , makes provision for increases in the standard weekly rates of injury benefit and disablement pension appropriate to degrees of disablement of 20% to 100%.

These regulations amend the Social Welfare (Occupational Injuries) Regulations, 1967, to provide for consequential increases in the weekly rates of injury benefit payable to persons under the age of sixteen, the amounts of disablement gratuities which are appropriate to degrees of disablement below 20% and the weekly rate of pension which may be substituted for each such gratuity.
