SAVINGS CERTIFICATES (SEVENTH ISSUE) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1968.

I, John Lynch, acting Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 30 (2) of the Finance Act, 1940 (No. 14 of 1940), hereby make the following rules:

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Savings Certificates (Seventh Issue) (Amendment) Rules, 1968.

(2) The Savings Certificates (Seventh Issue) Rules, 1966 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1966 ), and these Rules may be cited together as the Savings Certificates (Seventh Issue) Rules, 1966 and 1968.

2. Rule 5 of the Savings Certificate (Seventh Issue) Rules, 1966, is hereby amended by the substitution of "£3,500" for "£2,500".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These rules raise the limit on holdings of the Seventh Issue of Savings Certificates from £2,500 to £3,500.
