IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (No. 171) (POLYURETHANE FOAM AND SOLID FUEL STOVE BOILERS) ORDER, 1968.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), and section 22 of the Finance Act, 1962 (No. 15 of 1962), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (No. 171) (Polyurethane Foam and Solid Fuel Stove Boilers) Order, 1968.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of April, 1968.

3. The Imposition of Duties (No. 159) (Customs Duties and Form of Customs Tariff) Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 132 of 1966 ), is hereby amended by—

(a) the deletion of the matter in the first to the seventh columns of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) (1),

(b) the insertion in the first column of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) of the following:

"Other:

(1) Of cast iron:

(a) Firebars ...... ......

(b) Firegrates, ranges, mantel registers, and parts thereof

(c) Stoves:

(i) designed solely for heating water in connection with hot water circulating systems, and parts thereof

(ii) designed solely or primarily for direct space heating, and parts thereof

(iii) Other ...... ......

(d) Other ...... ......

(c) the insertion in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns respectively of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) (1) (a) (inserted by this Order) of "(a)", "32%", "32%", "32%", "25.6%" and "22.4%",

(d) the insertion in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns respectively of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) (1) (b) (inserted by this Order) of "(a)", "32%", "32%", "32%", "25.6%" and "22.4%",

(e) the insertion in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns respectively of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) (1) (c) (i) (inserted by this Order) of "Free",

(f) the insertion in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns respectively of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) (1) (c) (ii) (inserted by this Order) of "(a)", "32%", "32%", "32%", "25.6%" and "22.4%",

(g) the insertion in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns respectively of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) (1) (c) (iii) (inserted by this Order) of "(a)", "32%", "32%", "32%", "19.2%" and "19.2%",

(h) the insertion in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns respectively of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.36 (C) (1) (d) (inserted by this Order) of "Free",

(i) the insertion in the first column of the Schedule after tariff heading number 73.37 (A) of the following:

"(A1) Solid fuel domestic stove-type boilers designed to provide direct space heating, and parts thereof, of cast iron",

(j) the insertion in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns of the Schedule at tariff heading number 73.37 (A1) (inserted by this Order) of "(a)", "32%", "32%", "32%", "19.2%" and "19.2%" respectively,

(k) the insertion in the first column of the Schedule after tariff heading number 94.01 (B) (6) (b) of the following:

"(bb) Of material of a kind described in heading number 39.01 (A)", and

(l) the insertion in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns of the Schedule at tariff heading number 94.01 (B) (6) (bb) (inserted by this Order) of "(a)", "40%", "40%", "40%", "16%" and "16%" respectively.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
