HARBOUR AUTHORITIES (MISCELLANEOUS) (NON-HOLDING OF ELECTIONS) ORDER, 1967.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, being of opinion that, in respect of the election to be held in the year 1967 of the elected members of each of the harbour authorities specified in the Schedule to this Order, the electors will be so few in number as to render inappropriate the holding of such election, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 11 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbour Authorities (Miscellaneous) (Non-Holding of Elections) Order, 1967.

2. It is hereby directed that the election to be held in the year 1967 of the elected members of a harbour authority specified in the Schedule to this Order shall not be held.

Annagassan Pier Commissioners.

Ballyshannon Harbour Commissioners.

Baltimore and Skibbereen Harbour Commissioners.

Buncrana Harbour Commissioners.

Dingle Harbour Commissioners.

Killybegs Harbour Commissioners.

River Moy Commissioners.

Tralee and Fenit Pier and Harbour Commissioners.

Westport Port and Harbour Commissioners.

Wexford Harbour Commissioners.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Instrument is to direct that elections for shipping representatives shall not be held at the harbours specified above in the harbour election year, 1967.
