IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (IRON AND STEEL PRODUCTS) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1965.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), and with the consent of the Minister for Industry and Commerce, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (Iron and Steel Products) (No. 2) Order, 1965.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1966, and shall cease to have effect on the 1st day of July, 1966.

3. The duties of customs imposed by paragraph 5 of and mentioned in the Schedule to the Imposition of Duties (No. 128) (Customs Duties and Form of Customs Tariff) Order, 1962 ( S.I. No. 163 of 1962 ), at tariff heading numbers 73,10(A)(1)(b), 73.10(A)(2)(b), 73.10(A)(3)(a)(ii), 73.11(B)(2), 73.11(B)(3)(a)(ii), 73.11(B)(4)(a)(ii) and 73.13(B)(1)(b) shall not be charged or levied.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order suspends during the six months up to and including 30th June, 1966, the operation of the customs duties on certain iron or steel bars, rods, angles, shapes, sections, sheets and plates.
