OIL POLLUTION OF THE SEA (CONVENTION COUNTRIES) (ITALY AND MALAGASY REPUBLIC) ORDER, 1965.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, being satisfied that the governments of the countries specified in the Schedule hereto have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 19 of the Oil Pollution of the Sea Act, 1956 (No. 25 of 1956), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), order as follows:

1.—(1)This Order may be cited as the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Convention Countries) (Italy and Malagasy Republic) Order, 1965.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of June, 1965.

2. It is hereby declared that the countries specified in the Schedule to this Order have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
