ROAD VEHICLES (INDEX MARKS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1965.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 12 of the Roads Act, 1920, hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Index Marks) (Amendment) Regulations, 1965.

2. The Schedule to the Road Vehicles (Index Marks) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 14 of 1958 ) shall be amended by the insertion in the second column of the said Schedule of the following index marks:—

(a) AZI, BZI, CZI, DZI, EZI, FZI, GZI, HZI, IZI, JZI, KZI, LZI, MZI, NZI, OZI, PZI, RZI, SZI, TZI, UZI, VZI, WZI, XZI, YZI, AZJ, BZJ, CZJ, DZJ, EZJ, FZJ, GZJ, HZJ, IZJ, JZJ, KZJ, LZJ, MZJ, NZJ, OZJ, PZJ, RZJ, SZJ, TZJ, UZJ, VZJ, WZJ, XZJ, YZJ, opposite the Council of the County of Dublin and the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Dublin.

(b) AWI, BWI, CWI, DWI, EWI, FWI, GWI, HWI, IWI, JWI, opposite the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Waterford.

(c) IID, KID, LID, MID, NID, OID, PID, RID, SID, TID, UID, VID, WID, XID, YID, ZID, opposite the Council of the County of Cavan.

(d) KIE, LIE, MIE, NIE, OIE, PIE, RIE, SIE, TIE, UIE, VIE, WIE, XIE, YIE, ZIE, opposite the Council of the County of Clare.

(e) AZK, BZK, CZK, DZK, EZK, FZK, GZK, HZK, IZK, JZK, KZK, LZK, MZK, NZK, OZK, PZK, RZK, SZK, TZK, UZK, VZK, WZK, XZK, YZK, opposite the Council of the County of Cork.

(h) KNI, LNI, MNI, NNI, ONI, PNI, RNI, SNI, TNI, UNI, VNI, WNI, XNI, YNI, ZNI opposite the Council of the County of Wicklow.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These regulations prescribe additional index marks for motor vehicles registered by Dublin County Council and Dublin Corporation and by Waterford Corporation, Cavan County Council, Clare County Council, Cork County Council, Galway County Council, Kilkenny County Council and Wicklow County Council.
