SUMMER TIME ORDER, 1964.

I, BRIAN JOSEPH LENIHAN, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 3 of the Summer Time Act, 1925 (No. 8 of 1925), and the Justice (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1964 ( S.I. No. 248 of 1964 ), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Summer Time Order, 1964.

2. The period of summer time appointed by the Summer Time Order, 1926, shall not be the period of summer time for the purposes of the Summer Time Act, 1925 , in any of the years 1965, 1966 and 1967.

3. The period of summer time for the purposes of the Summer Time Act, 1925 , in the year 1965 shall be the period beginning at two o'clock, West-European time, in the morning of the 21st day of March, 1965, and ending at two o'clock, West-European time, in the morning of the 24th day of October, 1965.

4. The period of summer time for the purposes of the Summer Time Act, 1925 , in the year 1966, shall be the period beginning at two o'clock, West-European time, in the morning of the 20th day of March, 1966, and ending at two o'clock, West-European time, in the morning of the 23rd day of October, 1966.

5. The period of summer time for the purposes of the Summer Time Act, 1925 , in the year 1967, shall be the period beginning at two o'clock, West-European time, in the morning of the 19th day of March, 1967, and ending at two o'clock, West-European time, in the morning of the 29th day of October, 1967.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order fixes the periods of summer time for the years 1965, 1966 and 1967.

In accordance with subsection (2) of section 3 of the Summer Time Act, 1925 , the above Order has been approved by resolution of each House of the Oireachtas.
