COUNTY LOUTH (REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1964.

I, PÁDRAIG Ó CINNÉIDE, an tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, and Section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the County Louth (Registrars' Districts) Order, 1964.

2. The Dundalk Dispensary District shall be subdivided into two Registrars' Districts which shall be known as Dundalk No. 1 Registrar's District and Dundalk No. 2 Registrar's District.

3. Dundalk No. 1 Registrar's District shall consist of the area described in Part I of the Schedule hereto and Dundalk No. 2 Registrar's District shall consist of the area described in Part II of the Schedule hereto.

4. In the Schedule to this Order:—

(a) a reference to a road or street shall be construed as a reference to the centre line of such road or street;

(b) a reference to the Urban District Boundary means the existing boundary of the Urban District of Dundalk.

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 2nd day of November, Nineteen Hundred and Sixty Four.

SCHEDULE

PART I

DESCRIPTION OF AREA TO BE KNOWN AS DUNDALK No. 1 REGISTRAR'S DISTRICT

(a) The District Electoral Division of Haggardstown comprising the townlands of Ballybarrack, Carnanbregagh, Cavan, Dunmahon, Gibstown, Haggardstown, Haynestown, Killally, Littlemill, Newtownbabe, Newtownfane, Rathroal and Rossmakay.

(b) Part of the District Electoral Division of Dundalk Rural comprising the townlands of Crumlin and Mullagharlin.

(c) Part of Dundalk Urban District comprising the townlands of Lisnawully, Mounthamilton, Cambrickville, Rath, Fairhill, Priorland, Marshes Upper, Marshes Lower, Marsh South and Point and that portion of Dundalk Urban District south of a line drawn from a point in the channel opposite Soldiers Point in westerly and north-westerly directions successively along the said channel to a point in the channel opposite that part of Fair Green Road which lies due north of Castle Road; thence in a southerly direction along Fair Green Road and Castle Road to the junction of Castle Road and Seatown; thence in a westerly direction along Seatown to its junction with Chapel Street; thence in a southerly direction along Chapel Street to its junction with Roden Place; thence in a south-westerly direction along Roden Place, Francis Street and Park Street to Demesne entrance; thence in a northerly direction along Long Walk, Demesne, following the eastern boundary of the townland of Demesne to its junction with Castletown Road ; thence in a north-westerly direction along Castletown Road, to its intersection by the Dublin/Belfast Railway line ; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern side of the railway line to O'Hanlon Park; thence in easterly, southerly, easterly, southerly, westerly, southerly and westerly directions successively around O'Hanlon Park to the railway line (to exclude the houses in O'Hanlon Park with the exception of Nos. 1 to 26); thence in a westerly direction across the railway line; thence in a northerly direction along the western side of the railway line to its intersection by the Castletown Road; thence in a north-westerly direction along Castletown Road to its junction with Marian Park; thence in a southerly direction along Marian Park to its intersection by the boundary between the townlands of Demesne and Farrandreg ; thence in south-easterly, westerly, south-easterly, south-westerly and southerly directions successively along this boundary to its junction with the northeastern boundary of the townland of Lisnawully; thence in north-westerly, westerly and northerly directions successively along the last mentioned boundary to the Urban District Boundary.

PART II

DESCRIPTION OF AREA TO BE KNOWN AS DUNDALK No. 2. REGISTRAR'S DISTRICT

(d) The District Electoral Division of Castletown comprising the townlands of Acarreagh. Allardstown, Ballinclare, Ballinlough, Balregan, Carnroe, Donaghmore, Dunbin Big, Dunbin Little, Kilcurly, Knockatavy, Knockattin, Knockcor, Loughantarve, Millpark, Newtownbalregan, Rathiddy, Stephenstown. Stranacarry, Tankardsrock, Tateetra, Tates and Carrans Park and Thomas-town.

(e) Part of the District Electoral Division of Dundalk Rural comprising the townlands of Ballynahattin, Balriggan, Carn Beg, Carn More, Glebe, Redcow and Sportsman's Hall.

(f) Part of Dundalk Urban District comprising the townlands of Farrandreg, Castletown, Demesne, Moorland, Lisdoo, Dowdallshill, Marsh North and Townparks and that portion of Dundalk Urban District north of a line drawn from a point in the channel opposite Soldiers Point in westerly and north-westerly directions successively along the said channel to a point in the channel opposite that part of Fair Green Road which lies due north of Castle Road; thence in a southerly direction along Fair Green Road and Castle Road to the junction of Castle Road and Seatown; thence in a westerly direction along Seatown to its junction with Chapel Street; thence in a southerly direction along Chapel Street to its junction with Roden Place; thence in a south-westerly direction along Roden Place, Francis Street and Park Street to Demesne entrance; thence in a northerly direction along Long Walk, Demesne, following the eastern boundary of the townland of Demesne to its junction with Castletown Road; thence in a north-westerly direction along Castletown Road to its intersection by the Dublin/Belfast Railwav line; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern side of the railway line toO'Hanlon Park; thence in easterly, southerly, easterly, southerly, westerly, southerly and westerly directions successively around O'Hanlon Park to the railway line (to include the houses in O'Hanlon Park with the exception of Nos. 1 to 26); thence in a westerly direction across the railway line; thence in a northerly direction along the western side of the railway line to its intersection by the Castletown Road; thence in a north-westerly direction along Castletown Road to its junction with Marian Park; thence in a southerly direction along Marian Park to its intersection by the boundary between the townlands of Demesne and Farrandreg ; thence in south-easterly, westerly, south-easterly, south-westerly and southerly directions successively along this boundary to its junction with the north-eastern boundary of the townland of Lisnawully; thence in north-westerly, westerly and northerly directions successively along the last mentioned boundary to the Urban District Boundary.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to subdivide the Dispensary District of Dundalk into two Registrars' Districts to be known as Dundalk No. 1 Registrar's District and Dundalk No. 2 Registrar's District.
