HARBOUR RATES (CORK PORT AND HARBOUR) (RATES ON REFRACTORY MATERIALS) ORDER, 1964.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) (Rates on Refractory Materials) Order, 1964.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of October, 1964.

2.—(1) The rates set out in the Schedule to this Order shall be included in the Schedule to the Cork Harbour Act, 1933 (No. 1 (Private) of 1933).

(2) Article 5 of the Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) Order, 1940 ( S. R. & O. No. 390 of 1940 ), which, as amended by the Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) Order, 1940 (Amendment) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 168 of 1957 ), increases the rates set out in the Schedule to the said Act by one hundred and forty-seven and one-half per cent., shall have effect as if this Order were included amongst the orders mentioned in the said Article 5.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the Cork Harbour Commissioners to charge maximum import and export rates in respect of refractory materials.
