CIRCUIT COURT (ALTERATION OF CIRCUITS) ORDER, 1964.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (1) of section 3 of the Courts Act, 1964 (No. 11 of 1964), and after consultation by the Government, acting through the Minister for Justice, with the President of the Circuit Court and the judges of the Circuit Court permanently assigned to the Northern, Midland and South-Eastern Circuits, respectively, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Circuit Court (Alteration of Circuits) Order, 1964.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of September, 1964.

3.(1)The county of Sligo shall be removed from the Northern Circuit and shall be added to the Midland Circuit.

(2) The county of Laois shall be removed from the Midland Circuit and shall be added to the South-Eastern Circuit.

4. Business transacted in the Circuit Court which was initiated before the commencement of this Order and was not completed before such commencement shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in operation when such business was initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order transfers Sligo from the Northern to the Midland Circuit and Laois from the Midland to the South-Eastern Circuit.
