ROAD TRAFFIC ACT, 1961 (SECTION 103) (OFFENCES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1964.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 103 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (Section 103) (Offences) (Amendment) Regulations, 1964.

2. The Road Traffic Act, 1961 (Section 103) (Offences) Regulations, ( S.I. No. 91 of 1962 ) are hereby amended as follows:—

(a) In article 5, "One Pound" shall be substituted for "Ten Shillings".

(b) In the form prescribed by article 4, "one pound" shall be substituted for "ten shillings".

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1964.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (Section 103) (Offences) Regulations, 1962 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1962 ) by substituting the sum of £1 for the sum of 10s. as the amount which a person liable to prosecution for an offence under the Road Traffic Act, 1961 , to which section 103 of that Act applies, may pay as an alternative to the institution of a prosecution.
