RACECOURSE (LEVY) (PERCENTAGE) REGULATIONS, 1964.

The Racing Board in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 27 of the Racing Board and Racecourses Act, 1945 (No. 16 of 1945) with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations prescribing the percentage levy payable for the time being to the Racing Board on the amount of a course bet.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Racecourse (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1964.

2. The levy payable for the time being on a course bet shall be calculated at the rate of five per cent of such course bet.

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the Fifteenth day of June, 1964 and thereupon the Racecourse (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1946 shall cease to have effect.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Regulations is that from 15th June, 1964, a levy at the rate of five per cent will be payable to The Racing Board on course bets at authorised racecourses.
