DUBLIN DISTRICT MILK BOARD (MINIMUM PRICES FOR MILK) ORDER, 1964.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 43 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), and section 22 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 11 of 1941), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin District Milk Board (Minimum Prices for Milk) Order, 1964, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1964.

2. In this Order—

" registered producers " means persons registered in the register of producers kept by the Dublin District Milk Board ;

" registered retailers " means persons registered in the register of retailers kept by the Dublin District Milk Board ;

" registered wholesalers " means persons registered in the register of wholesalers kept by the Dublin District Milk Board ;

" collecting place " means a place other than the producer's registered premises at which milk is delivered by mutual agreement between the producer and the purchaser.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

4. The Dublin District Milk Board (Minimum Prices for Milk) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 67 of 1963 ) is hereby revoked.

5. The minimum prices to be paid to registered producers for milk sold by them to registered wholesalers and retailers shall be at the following rates :

(1) where the milk is delivered during the months of May to August, inclusive—

(a) if the milk is delivered at the registered premises of the purchaser, two shillings and two pence per gallon;

(b) if the milk is delivered, in the case of a registered wholesaler or retailer carrying on business in the City of Dublin, at a railway station in the City of Dublin, or, in the caseof any other registered wholesaler or retailer, at the railway station nearest to such wholesaler's or retailer's registered premises, two shillings and one penny three farthings per gallon;

(c) if the milk is delivered at the registered premises of the producer or at the collecting place—

(i) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises does not exceed ten miles, two shillings and one penny per gallon;

(ii) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises exceeds ten miles, but does not exceed twenty miles, two shillings and three farthings per gallon;

(iii) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises exceeds twenty miles, but does not exceed thirty miles, two shillings and one halfpenny per gallon;

(iv) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises exceeds thirty miles, but does not exceed forty miles, two shillings and one farthing per gallon;

(v) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises exceeds forty miles, two shillings per gallon.

(2) where the milk is delivered during the months of September to April, inclusive—

(a) if the milk is delivered at the registered premises of the purchaser, three shillings per gallon;

(b) if the milk is delivered, in the case of a registered wholesaler or retailer carrying on business in the City of Dublin, at a railway station in the City of Dublin, or, in the case of any other registered wholesaler or retailer, at the railway station nearest to such wholesaler's or retailer's registered premises, two shillings and eleven pence three farthings per gallon;

(c) if the milk is delivered at the registered premises of the producer or at the collecting place—

(i) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises does not exceed ten miles, two shillings and eleven pence per gallon;

(ii) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises exceeds ten miles, but does not exceed twenty miles, two shillings and ten pence three farthings per gallon;

(iii) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises, exceeds twenty miles, but does not exceed thirty miles, two shillings and ten pence half-penny per gallon;

(iv) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises exceeds thirty miles, but does not exceed forty miles, two shillings and ten pence farthing per gallon;

(v) where the distance by public road between the producer's registered premises, or the collecting place, as the case may be, and the purchaser's registered premises exceeds forty miles, two shillings and ten pence per gallon.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order prescribes the minimum prices to be paid to Registered Producers, as from 1st May, 1964, for milk sold by them to Registered Wholesalers and Registered Retailers in the Dublin Sale District.
