AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (EXPORTER'S LICENCES) FEES REGULATIONS, 1964.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 51 of, and Rule 2 (as amended by subsection (1) of section 4 of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 (No. 33 of 1954)) of the Schedule to, the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), hereby make the following regulations, with respect to which, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 , a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Exporter's Licences) Fees Regulations, 1964.

2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1963.

3. For the purposes of the Schedule to the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), as amended by subsection (1) of section 4 of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 (No. 33 of 1954)—

(a) the appropriate sum for a beef exporter's licence shall be one shilling and fourpence.

(b) the appropriate sum for a pork exporter's licence shall be fourpence, and

(c) the appropriate sum for a mutton exporter's licence shall be twopence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations increase the rates of fees payable by fresh-meat exporters in respect of animals presented by them on and after 1st July, 1963, for veterinary examination under the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 . The increases made in the rates of fees are: 4d. per head of cattle, 1d. per pig, and ½d. per sheep.
