S.I. No. 222/1963 - Garda Síochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1963.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1963.

(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1963.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Article 4 of the Garda Síochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 156 of 1958 ), shall have effect as if "3,370", "2,685", "2,405", "2,235", "2,320", "2,405", and "2,490" were substituted for "3,270", "2,535", "2,255", "2,085", "2,170", "2,255", and "2,340" (inserted by the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 166 of 1963 ), respectively.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for new salaries for the Officers of the Garda Síochána whose salaries were not increased under the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1963.
