HARBOUR RATES (WATERFORD PORT AND HARBOUR) (RATES ON CONTAINERS) ORDER, 1963.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Waterford Port and Harbour) (Rates on Containers) Order, 1963.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 11th day of November, 1963.

2. (1) The rates set out in the Schedule to this Order shall be included in the Schedule to the Waterford Harbour Act, 1919.

(2) Article 7 of the Harbour Rates (Waterford Port and Harbour) Order, 1942 (S. R., & O. No. 343 of 1942), which increases the rates set out in the Schedule to the Waterford Harbour Act, 1919, by one hundred per cent, shall have effect as if the rates set out in the Schedule to this Order had been included in the Schedule to the said Act at the date of the commencement of that Order.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the Waterford Harbour Commissioners to charge the following maximum goods rates on containers supplied by a transport company for the transport of goods: 1/6d. per ton (import) and 9d. per ton (export).
