THE PIGS AND BACON ACTS, 1935 TO 1961 (PIGS AND BACON COMMISSION) REGULATIONS (No. 1) ORDER, 1963.

WHEREAS Section 42 (1) and (2) of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 35 of 1939) provides that every person who claims to be entitled to be paid a subsidy may apply in the prescribed form and manner for payment of such subsidy and every application shall contain or be accompanied by the prescribed particulars and the prescribed documents of or relating to the claim for such subsidy.

AND WHEREAS in exercise of the aforesaid particulars the Pigs and Bacon Commission (hereinafter called "the Commission") by Order dated the 8th day of August, 1957 and entitled the Pigs and Bacon Acts, 1935 to 1956 (Pigs and Bacon Commission) Regulations (No. 2) Order, 1957 (hereinafter referred to as "Regulations (No. 2) Order, 1957") made Regulations under the said Acts.

AND WHEREAS the Commission is of the opinion that it is necessary to amend the said regulations.

NOW THEREFORE the Pigs and Bacon Commission in exercise of the powers vested in it under the said Section hereby orders that the following provisions shall have effect as regulations under the said Acts:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as The Pigs and Bacon Acts, 1935 to 1961 (Pigs and Bacon Commission) Regulations (No. 1) Order, 1963.

2. Regulation 4 of the Regulations (No. 2) Order, 1957 is hereby amended by inserting the words "or other officers(s) of the Department of Agriculture or of the Pigs and Bacon Commission duly authorised for that purpose" after the word Agriculture.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 16th day of September, 1963.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides that Authorised officers of the Department of Agriculture or of the Pigs and Bacon Commission may certify that particulars in regard to date and route of shipment and quantity exported are correct and that the bacon was properly sealed.
