APPRENTICESHIP ACT, 1959 (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1963.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (4) of section 7 of the Apprenticeship Act, 1959 (No. 39 of 1959), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Apprenticeship Act, 1959 (Appointed Day) Order, 1963.

2. The 31st day of August, 1963, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of section 7 of the Apprenticeship Act, 1959 (No. 39 of 1959).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of the Order is to appoint the 31st day of August, 1963, as the day on which the repeal of the Apprenticeship Act, 1931 , shall come into operation.
