LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SANITARY SERVICES) ACT, 1948 (SECTION 34) (PART OF COUNTY OF DONEGAL) ORDER, 1963.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (2) of section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 (No. 3 of 1948) hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 (Section 34) (Part of County of Donegal) Order, 1963.

2. On the seventh day after the date of this Order section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 shall come into operation in that part of the County Health District of Donegal consisting of—

(a) the district electoral divisions of Carrowkeel, Greenfort, Fanad North, Fanad West, Rosnakill, Carrickart, Cranford and Milford, and

(b) the district electoral division of Rosguill excluding the townlands of Crocknamurleog and Larganreagh.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to bring section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 into operation in the part of the County of Donegal specified. Section 34 authorises a sanitary authority to grant to the occupier of land, or with the consent of the occupier, to a camping organisation, a licence authorising the use, during a specified period of twelve consecutive months, of land for camping. Section 34 has already been brought into operation in the townlands of Crocknamurleog and Larganreagh by the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 (Section 34) (Part of County of Donegal) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 295 of 1961 ).
