AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT OF SUGAR COMMODITIES) ORDER, 1963.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by virtue of section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), and the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1956 ), hereby order as follows :

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export of Sugar Commodities) Order, 1963.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of April, 1963.

2. Subject to paragraph 3 of this Order, the exportation of any commodity (excluding sugar syrups and condensed milk) made from sugar or to which sugar has been added in the course of preparation is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947).

3. This Order shall not apply to the exportation by parcel post of any commodity made from sugar or to which sugar has been added in the course of preparation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to apply control to exports to all destinations of goods containing sugar other than sugar syrups, condensed milk and exports by parcel post.
