AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT OF SUGAR SYRUPS) ORDER, 1963.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), and the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 21 of 1963 ), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export of Sugar Syrups) Order, 1963.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of April, 1963.

3. Subject to paragraph 4 of this Order, the exportation of sugar syrups save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), is hereby prohibited.

4. This Order shall not apply to the exportation of sugar syrups by parcel post.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to prohibit as from 25th April, 1963, the export of sugar syrups except under and in accordance with licences issued by the Minister for Agriculture.
