S.I. No. 69 of 1962.

HARBOUR RATES (DUNDALK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1962

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with Section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1962.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of May, 1962.

2. Section 43 of the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 (No. 3 (Private) of 1925), shall have effect as if for the words " one shilling " there were substituted the words " one shilling and sixpence ".

3. The rate of one shilling and sixpence is hereby fixed as the maximum rate to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners in respect of each ton of goods carried by their cranes.

4. The Harbour Rates (Dundalk Cranage Rates) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 252 of 1949 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order fixes revised maximum tonnage and cranage rates which may be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners as from 15th May, 1962.
