OIL POLLUTION OF THE SEA (CONVENTION COUNTRIES) (FINLAND AND POLAND) ORDER, 1961.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, being satisfied that the governments of Finland and Poland have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 19 of the Oil Pollution of the Sea Act, 1956 (No. 25 of 1956), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Convention Countries) (Finland and Poland) Order, 1961.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 9th day of August, 1961.

2. It is hereby declared that the governments of Finland and Poland have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order declares that the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954, has been accepted by Finland and Poland.
