PIGS AND BACON COMMISSION (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1961.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 (inserted by the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1961 (No. 14 of 1961) ) of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 35 of 1939), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Pigs and Bacon Commission (Appointed Day) Order, 1961.

2. The 1st day of August, 1961, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of Part II of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 35 of 1939).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 1st August, 1961, as the date on which the reconstitution of the membership of the Pigs and Bacon Commission under the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1961 , is to take effect.
