CUSTOMS-FREE AIRPORT (ROAD TRAFFIC) REGULATIONS, 1960.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13 of the Customs-free Airport Act, 1947 (No. 5 of 1947) (as amended by section 11 of the Customs-free Airport (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 29 of 1958)) and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs-free Airport (Road Traffic) Regulations, 1960.

2. A person driving a vehicle shall not stop the vehicle within the Customs-free Airport for the purpose of setting down or taking up passengers or goods except at the following places:

(a) the area of the Industrial Estate,

(b) the oil depots,

(c) the area of the fire station,

(d) the cargo terminal,

(e) the terminal building,

(f) the place known as the Camp.

3. The Customs-free Airport (Road Traffic) Regulations, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 117 of 1947 ), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations prescribe the places at which vehicles may stop within the Customs-free Airport for the purposes of setting down or taking up passengers or goods. These places are in lieu of those prescribed by the Customs-free Airport (Road Traffic) Regulations 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 117 of 1947 ) which have been revoked.
