PATENTS, DESIGNS AND TRADE MARKS (INTERNATIONAL ARRANGEMENTS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1960.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (5) of section 152 of the Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act, 1927 (No. 16 of 1927), as adapted by section 2 of the Executive Powers (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 (No. 20 of 1937), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (International Arrangements) (Amendment) Order, 1960.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (International Arrangements) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 22 of 1959 ), shall have effect as if, for the foreign states specified in the First Schedule thereto, there were substituted the foreign states specified in the Schedule to this Order.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The amendment extends the effect of the principal Order to Iran and San Marino, and to territories of Australia, Denmark, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
