PASTEURISING (SEPARATED MILK) (TEMPORARY AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1960.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 30 of the Dairy Produce Act, 1924 (No. 58 of 1924), as amended by section 4 of the Diseases of Animals (Bovine Tuberculosis) Act, 1957 (No. 14 of 1957), hereby make the following Regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pasteurising (Separated Milk) (Temporary Amendment) Regulations, 1960.

2. During the period beginning on the 1st day of May, 1960, and ending on the 30th day of April, 1961, nothing in Articles 3 to 6 of the Pasteurising (Separated Milk) Regulations 1957 ( S.I. No. 196 of 1957 ) shall apply in relation to premises which are registered in the register of cream separating stations and which are situate on an island off the coast.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations exempt, until 30th April, 1961, any registered cream separating station on an island off the coast from the requirements regarding the provision of suitable pasteurising plant and the pasteurisation of separated milk returned to milk suppliers or disposed of for animal feeding.
