BACON SALES LEVY (HOME CONSUMPTION) SUSPENDING (No. 12) ORDER, 1959.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 35 (2) of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 35 of 1939) the Pigs and Bacon Commission hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Bacon Sales Levy (Home Consumption) Suspending (No. 12) Order, 1959.

2. In this Order the expression " the Act of 1939 " shall mean the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 35 of 1939) and subject as aforesaid, the words and expressions used in this Order shall be interpreted as if used in the Act of 1939.

3. It is hereby declared that no levy shall be payable under Section 35 of the Act of 1939 in respect of the month of January, 1960.

4. This Order shall come into force on Friday, the first day of January, 1960.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for continuance, during the month of January, 1960, of the suspension (in operation for many years past) of levy on home-market sales of bacon.
