OFFICE PREMISES (CLOTHING ACCOMMODATION) REGULATIONS, 1959.

WHEREAS it appears to the Minister for Industry and Commerce that provision requires to be made in relation to accommodation for clothing for persons employed in offices :

NOW I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 23 of the Office Premises Act, 1958 (No. 3 of 1958), after consultation with the Minister for Health and having referred the proposals to which effect is given by the following regulations to the Advisory Council, hereby make the following regulations :

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Office Premises (Clothing Accommodation) Regulations, 1959.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1959.

2. There shall be provided for the use of the persons employed in offices adequate and suitable accommodation for clothing not worn during working hours, comprising at least one hook or peg for each person, the pegs or hooks to be not less than twelve inches apart, laterally.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to prescribe a standard of cloakroom facilities in offices.
