RIVER LACKAGH (SPECIAL LOCAL LICENCES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1958.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Lands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (5) (as amended by subsection (2) of section 17 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 15 of 1958) ) and subsection (6) of section 4 of the Fisheries (Tidal Waters) Act, 1934 (No. 24 of 1934), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 67 of 1957 ), hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the River Lackagh (Special Local Licences) (Amendment) Order, 1958.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Article 4 of the River Lackagh (Special Local Licences) Order, 1943 ( S. R. & O. No. 15 of 1943 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for paragraphs (2) and (3) of the following :

" (2) Subject to paragraph (3) of this Article, the licence duty to be paid in respect of every special local licence to fish for salmon with a single rod and line granted under the authority of this Order shall be three pounds.

(3) Where a special local licence to fish for salmon with a single rod and line is granted under the authority of this Order for any year to a person to whom a salmon rod (annual) ordinary licence or a salmon rod (annual) (district) ordinary licence has been granted for that year, the licence duty payable in respect of such special local licence shall be reduced by fifty shillings ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order prescribes the licence duty payable for a special local licence to fish for salmon with single rod and line in the tidal waters of the River Lackagh.
